👶 Private Life Applications (Appendix Private Life)

Applicable Scenarios:

  • Children who have lived in the UK for 7 years or more.

  • Young adults aged 18–24 who’ve lived in the UK half their life.

  • Adults residing in the UK for over 20 years or with significant ties to the UK.

Application Types:

  • Leave to Remain (Private Life)

  • Switching from other routes

  • ILR under the 10-year Private Life route

💼 Work Visas (Under the Points-Based Immigration System – PBS)

1. Skilled Worker Visa

UKVI Route Name: Skilled Worker Route (under Appendix Skilled Worker)
For: Individuals with a job offer from a UK-licensed sponsor in an eligible occupation.
Scenarios:

  • You have a job offer from a UK employer in healthcare, engineering, IT, education, or skilled trades.

  • Your employer holds a sponsorship licence and is assigning you a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

Includes:

2. Global Business Mobility Routes

Includes:

  • Senior or Specialist Worker Visa (Intra-Company Transfer replacement)

3. Global Talent Visa

UKVI Route: Global Talent (Appendix Global Talent)

Requires: Endorsement from an approved endorsing body (e.g., Tech Nation, Arts Council, UKRI).

1. Student Visa (Appendix Student)

Scenarios:

  • You’ve received an unconditional offer from a UK educational institution (with a CAS).

  • You meet the financial and English language requirements.

2. Child Student Visa (for ages 4–17)

3. Graduate Route Visa

For: Students who have completed a UK degree and wish to work in the UK for 2 years (3 years for PhD graduates).

🚀 Innovators and Entrepreneurs

1. Innovator Founder Visa

Replaces: Innovator and Start-up Visas
Requirements:

  • A new, innovative business idea

  • Endorsement from an approved UK endorsing body

  • Business plan with growth and sustainability potential

2. Start-up Route (phasing out but still relevant in some cases)

🛡️ Protection & Human Rights Applications

Scenarios include:

  • Claiming asylum due to fear of persecution in your home country (based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or social group)

  • Making a human rights claim under Article 8 (family/private life) or Article 3 (risk of inhumane treatment)

  • Submitting further submissions or fresh claims after a refusal
